Volume 8 cover shows her in a wedding dress, but him in his normal clothes. implying a rescue in the last second situation. it also would fit the situation of the current arc.

I don't see any reasonable way to drag out the fight against Julius for this long, but if you only skim over the information its an easy conclusion to come to.

The volume cover has the girl in wedding gown. I had a feeling this entire conflict and political marriage thing will be bigger than what it looks like, and I thought that this manga adap ending at chapter 60+ will just cover that stuff.

Did you read the source novels? Maybe you can give me some insight how much more this will develop?

Can't say anything in regards to the source novel, but we can see that volume 4 is the last one which this sorcerer appears on, the next 2 have some new female character, 6 has what I can only assume to be MC's brother, and 7 has some completely unfamiliar character. since we're only on chapter 24 and we've already covered a lot of ground, it stands to reason that we're going to be moving far past this plot point.
