Great. At this point it's clear we're getting hit with the second season threat escalation, where the really really bad guys show up that are just too good to do anything about. The exact moment I always get bored with a show/book. Always hated this since Log Horizon season 2. I'll probably keep reading it for a bit, but this is probably only going to get dumber before it gets better.

Well tbh, whatever way the manga ends, is already giving us an ending that neither the WN and LN ever did, since most of this adaptation was manga original basically

I'm trying to forget the whole knife segment. A stupid kid (that the group was suspicious of) gets surrounded on all sides and pulls a knife from nowhere to successfully attack one of them. The vanguard fighter guy, who seemed close by, can't intercept the tiny attacker. The guy who can stop time and teleport doesn't cast any spell... despite being able to use magic to save people like that in many chapters. This veteran battle goddess lady is so surprised by this random kid (who she was suspicious of just moments before) that a fucking sage is able to maneuver around her and take the hit. You have an insignificant character attacking several "the world will be doomed without you" people... they should be able to disarm/disable this girl who does not seem to have combat experience, even if it required hurting her.
