There's a lot of things here that are beginning to not make sense...
A. It's impossible for "Grandpa" to have detected the bullet before it hit Rokurou, as the only thing traveling faster than it would've been any light reflecting or emanating from it, and even that would be limited by the speed of the chemical processes of the retina and electrical impulses of the nervous system. Even assuming "Grandpa" could somehow detect the bullet before it hit, the acceleration needed to move his body and the enemy's to stop the bullet would be so fast it would shred Rokurou's body far beyond that which any bullet possibly could.
B. Up until now it's been assumed that Takoha's and Rokurou's spirits were separate entities that were able to travel, experience, and communicate freely from the host body. However, here "Grandpa" says that he is residing solely in the cranium, yet is still tied to Rokurou's consciousness. Which means either "Grandpa" also has the ability to astral project, or everything that Rokurou experiences in his spirit form is also experienced through the senses of his host body, neither of which really make sense. The only way it could make sense is if either "Grandpa" is just really good at pretending he can also see what Rokurou's spirit sees, and Rokurou's spirit is able to synthesize together information from itself as well as his brain, OR the spirit and the brain are directly connected through quantum entanglement, and "Grandpa" is able to view the information through Rokurou's neural synapses and project to them in kind in a short enough timeframe that it would seem like he's there as well.
