Chihiro deserves better... This arc makes no sense what's so ever.... Last minute ass pulls aren't character development its just lazy writing, I enjoy this story over all but these last few arcs have been really underwhelming and frustrating. Just like the fight arc when everyone got mad at chihiro and suoshi for trying to protect Megumi from a heavily implied SA and gang assault... Like who would actually act like that towards some one who put their health and wellbeing on the line for your safety.... Just weird maybe it's culture clash from a western mind set but if some one is willing to fight for my safety I'm not going to shun them for using violence when it's used to protect some one else from worse violence...

from what I remember (I haven't been reading the series for a while), series at the start gave a feeling of horimiya but in a more delinquent base in the side of the boys, but didn’t really move forward well after main couple got stable from their problems (with the group too) and then got stale too without the funnies, also Long never stopped being a pos.

Finally...we can put a lid on these two!! Well, as much as I hate it, they've got a closure so we doesn't have to see Long hovering over Miyamoto anymore. And I hope when their relationship has stabilised, Miyamoto can tell Chihiro about Sunamato and what he used to be (tho, I'm not sure what will happen and whether it's necessary to 'glorify?' the memory.) Long now has learn the consequences of his actions and while it can be hard, I hope he can change for the better and who knows, maybe the author will give him someone else after he becomes a better man? Thanks Taki for giving at him straight. Hope he can do that if he ever finds someone else to pin for.

For Chihiro, while he deserves better (sorry Miyamoto), this probably can be the step for Miyamoto to become serious in her relationship with Chihiro. She has got a closure from her 'first love Satoru' and she no longer afraid of Long, she will be able to take a step forward in moving on and healing. I like Miyamoto and eventhough this arc kinda makes my favorability drops a bit, it doesn't change that she is a complex character (it's always the suporting character 😅) but the author really dump everything to her. Give some to Miki too (jk. No need for that, just let her stay the naive girl in love with a wolf in sheep's clothing)
