Yup! I inserted this as a filler page since it improved the layout of the other pages when reading in two-page format.
Not sure why the ebook didn't do this itself, since it's clear the pages after that are meant to be laid-out in this fashion.
I'd imagine when it was originally serialized in Young Magazine there was probably an advert placed there.
