I was expecting shit to escalate quickly, but I wasn't expecting it to escalate this quickly. Like, I figured he'd evolve a few times, sure, but I was expecting the "kill it before it evolves" tactic to actually work so he could have access to revivals later when necessary (him being weak but clever and adaptable was like, his main trait throughout the series so far, after all), not for him to immediately burn them all in a straight-up slugfest with the thing!
