The main character really just sucks an unfathomable amount, and since the entire story revolves around him, it just makes me not care about the story at all. At least the art and the monster designs are top notch.

I've noticed that like some chapters have several different plot developments/interactions with seemingly rough/sudden transitions. It's like he's at the office one moment talking to new characters, then another moment he's out in the wild fighting a monster with no delay.

Maybe I'm just reading too fast but it's a little jarring that some interactions just happen so quickly and the story moves on like "snap!"

No, you’re right. The pacing is a bit fast. Especially with how fast Han Maru recovered from his depression. A lot of the story beats feel like they could be stretched out longer, but it seems like they're placing plot points to get it out of the way. Hopefully this doesn't mean that this'll end in 100 chapters though.

Anyway, MC's personality reminds me a lot of Denji from CSM. Sigh... character tropes be troping...
