I dont really understand the current rating. Yes, it's pretty good. But the art ranges from boring to woaw, the story is very different from season to season which means the interest in a genre heavily weighs on the season's likability. This variety of settings makes it difficult to appreciate the underlying story. For instance, the love arc really overstayed its welcome. As for the characters, besides the main character, they mostly are bland and archetypal. Main character has become far too much of a goodie two shoes, which he wasnt when he started. And his transformation kind of makes sense, but its still too radical to be realistic. The strong point here is the whole tower gimmick. Its a great basis, unfortunately what's been built around it is both unimaginative, lackluster and inconsistent. 6/10

This is literally one of the best if not the best manhwa I've ever read. 100+ chapters in and it's still incredible. One million thanks to the translation team, I can't wait to see what happens next

Why tf does this have a 9+ rating?? It starts off decent but turns bad when the MC resolves the problem with the Sword Saint. Like, why didn’t the SS even question why his 'never-wrong' skill failed this time? And why did his personality suddenly change from a dignified old man to—well, you could say he started acting like a teenager who just met a new friend and wanted to introduce his cousins?
At that point, I gave this another chance and kept reading until they had a dispute, and 3 innocent people got killed. They have a lie-detector skill—why couldn’t they just ask those 3 a single question? I then skipped all the demon king’s pointless yapping, only to stumble upon the 'power of friendship' nonsense. I gave this 1 star and dropped it.

after reading up to and a little past the wuxia arc and reading other comments i really think this is like a 3/10 at best. there were a lot of stupid plot points and bad writing in the whole thing but it didn't start bothering me until the wuxia arc 'cause i think wuxia is some of the most 8th grade syndrome edgelord bs.

the whole story is kind of contrived, the writing is not amazing, the absolute best parts are 5/10 but there's so many dumb moments that overall it's gotta be a 3/10.

it's clear that this isn't a story written by an author with any kind of passion, it's just a product that a company is creating to produce revenue.

I expected this to be a 7/10 at best—holy fuck, was I wrong. This is the best manga I've ever read so far. The plot intrigued me at first, and I thought it was going to be some generic "he becomes the most powerful character in the book instantly" kind of thing. But I really appreciate that he uses his intellect and revive ability to the fullest. He's a smart character who actually uses his fucking brain, and I love that.

By far, though, my favorite arc of all time was the romance arc—holy shit, it was peak. I've re-read it two or three times already. It's fucking amazing. I don’t get the hate, but to each their own.

Read 10 chapters and it seems pretty mid to me. Who is rating this so highly? Is it just bots spamming ratings?
