Yeah, a teacher know for being "clean" suddendly finds the eggs of a sealed beast and uses them to cheat and win a tournament.
It stinks of masterplan to kill MC, only one problem, the students army had a chance in the eyes of anybody in that world to defeat MC before the beats was attarcted to the area.
Probably a plot twist wrot ein a hurry.
Impossible to tell with so little if the teacher killed himself out of guilt for the death caused from the beast, the shame of being found out as scum or possibly is connected to someone that gave him the eggs and would have killed or tortured him to keep the silence.
