@RandomDoge Agreed. It's been a common theme throughout the manga: Xinghe can't seem to avoid causing a fight even if his life depended on it. Which is basically the case right here.

Honestly, if he was being TOO background-character-like it'd be suspicious. Remember, he's already being watched, including by the Divine Sword guy. If he stands out a little it makes sense since he's supposed to be a genius going into the Tower of God.

What is even the point in having a disguise if this is going to happen anyway

Actually The disguise worked. It's just someone from his own town showed up and even then at first she wasn't to sure it was him, but some country bumpkin.
what should happen is he should just give up on the disguise now that it is blown.
