That first story was pretty intriguing but then they had to get into all that familial dissonance stuff and they lost me

It lacks the "tragedy" tag, but once you have an introduction of the characters, you can understand what is going on; only the ending is unexpected, but it is a "very japanese" story~

Sherlock Holmes of mystical Meiji-era Japan.
I think it's one of those mystery stories that if you follow along and make logic charts you could find the culprit before the big reveal
