Glad to see Mitera and its neighbors finally mounting some kind of coordinated resistance! Gormoa's plan with the Orks never made much sense*, and it was therefore frustrating to see it succeed so terribly.
Tbh, I'm always somewhat irritated by fantasy worlds in which powerful destructive tools -- like "Enshin" poison -- exist and are widely known, but to which societies have not adjusted. It isn't a big problem here, as
Queen in the Iron Mask depends more on thrilling action and splendid art than airtight story logic. But I'm too nitpicky to let it go unmentioned
* Why would the poison-maddened Wumba travel so far from their usual habitat to collectively attack one specific Human town? And why wouldn't the Kuroa of Reidin, a larger city, quickly figure out that they were being poisoned and isolate the source?
