It doesn’t have the usual reincarnated/transferred into another world.

isekai doesn't always mean reincarnation/transferred. the literal meaning of isekai itself is "different world". so as long as it's not the real world/different from our world, it's an isekai

ANYWAY, the protag really is riding a rollercoaster by far.

That's not accurate at all. Isekai means the character has transferred from 1 world to another so even if the character moved from a fantasy world to the real world that'd still be isekai.
Just not being the real world when all characters in the story originate from that world is in no way isekai. If it was then every fantasy world story would be tagged isekai instead of just the ones that have a character not from that fantasy world. Just like how not all reincarnation stories are isekai because there are dozens where the reincarnated person is just from the past of that world reincarnated in the future or the reverse.
