Yes agreed, I hope the manga doesn't stay as the primary reason the MC and heroine aren't progressing in their relationship, as in romance mangas leading in throughout the story with a manipulative and disliked (by readers) third party (someone influencing relationship.) tends to skew the climaxes in the romance area of the story.
