maybe the grading is diff in Japan but i feel like there'd be some kids that'd get their asses whooped if they got a 55 let alone 30

And even tho it's a 'punishment' i guess it's good they get a chance to do makeup work/classes after work, versus having to go to some cram school/pay for a tutor or so (tho i wonder if there are ppl that are consistently bad grades no matter how much they study, if they rly have to repeat a year or being stuck with 'blue collar jobs' or so, since not everyone can be 'smart' on paper)
