I honestly really liked all of the daydream sequences, but having the story end on a dream felt like such a cop out. I also really liked how a lot of Asami's backstory is left vague and how that fits into her character, but I don't like how her arc is cut off when she vanishes. I felt really unsatisfied with the ending. It just feels unfair to leave Keiko's character in a never ending unrequited love. I felt so hopeful in volume 3 chapter 15 when she said she just needed to wait. I really loved her introspection and emotional growth, and her grieving in the remaining chapters. I guess I wish the ending was more bitter? A bit more introspection followed by her realizing she needs to move on? Dreaming that Asami loves you and is coming back for you and then not unpacking that is a little rough. Its also like slightly implied that she died? Whatever. 6/10. had cool ideas. The attempted rape scene in volume 3 chapter 16 was gross. wouldn't read again
