As someone nearsighted I wear glasses because I have to. There is no pro to having bad eyesight and glasses aren't fun. They allow you 70% range of good vision at best, are neutral to wear at best and they are expensive.

I don't know anyone who has to wear glasses that likes having to wear glasses.

If my eyes weren't so sensitive I would wear contact lenses myself. More power for her to widen her options and wear contact lenses once in a while.
