Thanks for the info/reply. I still am somewhat confused/interested on what considerations are used to determine the run of a manga. Economically, with an anime release it would seem more popular than ever, unless there’s something I’m not aware of.

Not being able to read Japanese means that I’m pretty limited in what I can find out myself, since it’s not like I can google it and get anything that’s likely to be useful. The thought that I should get around to actually learning Japanese is again rattling in my head..

this is actually the last volume so there's probably only 3 or 4 more chapters left. last volume with be published in the spring

I don't think it's that- I think it's because Maho is thinking of that time she walked in on Ai Mie and Kaede Komura when they were in the sports gear storehouse holding each other's faces as if they were about to kiss. To be honest, I think it's been a regular occurrence of her having that sort of expression while looking towards Kaede and/or Ai, because I think she's still misunderstanding on what they were actually doing then.

I think you forgot that Yasaka is supposed to be dating Asuka (the one kissing the flash cards, which is why Yasaka comments "She did that to me too.", pretty sure). We don't know who Maho would end up with. This is far too wholesome for a love triangle even with supporting characters, and especially between characters that are supposed to be best friends.
