Well, if the Hero-King didn't have an inferiority complex before... There's nothing like an Elder cheating to make all of your allies powerless, fighting it and getting crushed, only for another elder to intervene and trivialize the whole experience with a wave of its hand.
That's the sort of BS that would make me give up. What's the point of playing these games if the only thing controlling if you win or lose is the whim of the elders?

Good thing our lad has the backing of the Elder of Clown-- I mean Fucker-- I mean Jesters? Er, he has the backing of someone who just wants to make shit entertaining, so this kind of situation will probably get a complete 180 at some point in order to embarrass the ones responsible, and that's probably the only thing keeping MC going; no matter how bullshit things get, he'll always get some kind of opportunity based on how entertaining Clown God thinks it'd be to do so...
Everyone else though? Yeah, they kinda get shit on at every turn & have almost no say in things, it's amazing they're still going at all, lol
