Like 99% of Japanese protags is made up either one of two types of characters: a naive cretin or a ruthless edgelord.

Man this MC is a fuckin tool... Even after being abandoned by that bitch he still does things that benefit her out of some random unconscious rage... He holds such value on... was it not even a year of knowing some people who likely tossed around empty "Oh, you can chose what you want to do"... yet still gladly groomed him as their 'hero' and dragged him into a war... and then tried to be sure they cleaned him up when they were done with his use... fuckin give it up, they want the exact opposite of everything you stand for. There is no "Friends" to go back to there, they never actually were.
