Incredible. Truly a feat achievable only by people filled solely with naivety—Japanese protagonists.
Like 99% of Japanese protags is made up either one of two types of characters: a naive cretin or a ruthless edgelord.

My point still stands, although I forgot about the third type—naive cretins who turn into ruthless edgelords when provoked / triggered by something.
