Joke, maybe, aside, the author gone too far to make the MC a retard and drop hints of being able to see the future but not think on what to do later.
For example with the car at the start, he wasn't in his own precognition and the car passed so much later that the girl never even seen it, so he could just have stood there, and pulled her back when the car appeared, if it wasn't at that crossing just stay behind her for a couple minutes, save her ass, leave, no need to grope, don't want to stand around, stay at the stop and then say as chit chat there is some crazy guy doing that street very fast and to be careful, don't want to even talk to her, stand at the stop, call the cops on your phones and say you have seen a car go crazy fast in a way that she hears it.
Now for this situation, he said that a cat will pop out, that is the dumbest way to bring it out, a normal functioning human would have stopped, glanced around, said he had heard something, and then noticed the cat, no drama involved.

At this point in WN, no girl is really going to have any advantage, at least until the MC's backstory gets fully resolved, which is pretty deep and dark

This is straight up lazy writing xD MC somehow knowing about a cat is a problem, his whole thought process and actions were just unnatural.

I don't particularly dislike her but so far Tsundere character hasn't actually done anything to be ingratiated by fans so authors going to do a sympathy arc (idk why they think doing this somehow makes up for unlikeable characteristics).
