The author goes on about seeing blood, and tries to give an impression about how "difficult" life is, but... this Marquis Whisker would have been publicly beheaded anywhere on earth before the 1700s.
Also, why is the Archbishop only now being arrested? I mean, the example of Thomas Beckett is sitting right there, as well as the  entire sengoku period...
