You know... he says 'I didn't know that' about how to align it... but just looking at the things, I'd think it'd be pretty obvious you align the number to where the bar is going to sit, which is at the top of that thing. But, then, if he hadn't made that blatant blunder, we wouldn't have gotten that lovely face from Suzuka after she realized what she managed.
Also, right off the bat, giving me some Love Hina vibes, with him being a relative of the dorm/bathhouse owner, it's a girls-only dorm, and he's being put to work at the place. Also the girl he actually likes treats him coldly, while just about all the others seem to be falling for him in one way or another (some more literal than others- Megumi seems about as accident-prone as him). Obviously, it's got plenty of differences, but still... surface-level similarities.
