If you haven't seen the movie of the same name yet, watch it! The finale is one of the best animated sword fights I ever saw.
If you already saw the movie, there isn't really a need to read this version. As far as I remembered, there was nothing in this manga, that wasn't also shown in the movie. Maybe his flashback with the young lord is a little more than in the movie, but other than that, it is the same. Although not completely, since they even cut out some of the story for the mange, which is really strange to me. Normally it is the other way around and the movie cuts things.
