As soon as this manga tried to have every girl in every chapter it was doomed. It would've done much better if it was closer to MarriageXToxin where each girl gets a big mystery arc before going away for awhile. Would also help if there was some sort of end goal.

What a bummer, inventor girl didn't even get a chance to shine either, guess the mixture of a victorian murder detective story and silly harem slice of life didn't appeal to readers.
I still enjoyed it though and I hope the author will have more success with his next work.

Bobbled the ending a bit, but mixing sappy and zany was never this series's forte. Fun enough read while it lasted :salute:

Pouring one out for another peak manga killed before its time so we can get another Rental Girlfriend 380.

This arc has been a complete mess and the Zero Craft thing was very disappointing.

We even got the 3-timing end but it felt so disappointing. (Also: Live together with Chatnoir? Soufle you are a dumbdumb. Don't you get that the romance is so hot because its forbidden? How can you have a relationship of passion so hot it melts through the wall of the law if you are just living together?) Honestly I wish the mangaka would have canned this ending arc and just given us 5 normal chapters instead.

tl;dr:
Axe-kun forced a speed running of a plot with a dumb and very out-of-tone big mystery (Criminal Genius Toby loves his parents so much he never went to see them in prison or researched their case) but until it fell over it was so peak.

But the biggest sin of this ending arc is no final bit Misery Killthy trying to be evil but failing due to her just being a good girl deep down.

Ah at least it is harem ending. Feel bad for Tsutsui-sensei.

Such a shame a manga with much potential got axed like this. The ending was rushed as hell and did not feel satisfying at all.
It was a fun one I guess, just unfortunate.

Really sad this got axed considering it was definitely one of the few WSJ series I was excited to read every week alongside Akane, BB and KGB. I'm genuinely shocked it sold worse than Himaten considering how its even more generic of a romcom than Syd was. Sure the characters were basically clones of Bokuben but I genuinely enjoyed Syd Craft way more than the last arcs of BokuBen.

It was a mediocre ending, but what else you can expect from an Axe hit. It should have committed to the Souffle ending if it was the intention, even as a Lulu shipper, at least it would have felt conclusive.
