One probably needs some familiarity with that Synduality noir setting, otherwise this feels a bit odd to read. It doesn’t really become clear whether the protagonists are supposed to be scavengers or a military unit, or what they’re supposed to be fighting against, with how heavily they’re armed. The romance aspect is also front, left and center, so it doesn’t work that well as an adventure story, and I don’t think there’s going to be any sex at all.

This is not something that can be read as a stand alone story. There is just too much context missing for it not to feel disjointed and incomplete. So unless you've read/watched the main story, you'll wana pass on this till you have.
