Akhenaten's son Tutankhamun (i.e King Tut whose tomb was discovered nearly intact) would restore Egypt traditional polytheistic religion. The general Horemhob would also later become a pharaoh, the last one of the 18th Dynasty.
Egypt history is so ancient it warps the sense of time. We think about Cleopatra as ancient, but she lived closer to our time than she did to when the Great Pyramid of Giza was constructed.
