she is much preferable than her .

Make me wonder though how it is still allowed to smoke if cigarette is either hallucinegenic or it summon entities.

First one is due to being a hallucinegenic substance which is tightly controlled or downright banned.
Second one is due to religious even ideological protests as summoning an entity would trigger religious and a scantly dressed girls would trigger other groups.

All that's left is a page full of author's comments on the chapter's featured brand and we have an informational manga.

@Simpleton If that was the case, why did his colleague at work talk to and interact with Menko-chan like it's perfectly normal in the previous chapter? Unless MC was somehow imagining that situation entirely.
Though, if all of this *is* real, and the smoke girl that appears depends on the brand, why does Lights-chan (I'm just gonna call her that since Lights is written on her clothes) remember MC specifically? Does the same girl just appear multiple times if a cigarette of their brand is being lit by multiple people at the same time and all of them keep their memories or something? Or perhaps the girl that appears depends both on the brand and the person smoking.

I'm completely overthinking a story about anthropomorphized smoke, aren't I?

@Syrax In-world explanation: The smoke-girls are the spiritual entities of their particular brands (including such details as "Menthol" so probably also "Slims" - basically every kind of cigarette you can but will also have its own kami). Then you have to be a shaman/spiritually active to see them. Exactly what this entails is still unclear, but making sacrifices (burning tobacco) seems to be a mandatory part.

Our-world explanation: Yup, he be cray-zee, and he's also imagining (possibly) actual people acting in ways they might not actually do, or at least interprets their actions through heavily tinted lenses.

Now I want to see what my limited edition 5 year vintage The Peace would look like.
