Yep… While it's relatively simple to just look at the good of existing readers, it does seem like other initiatives just don't really care about that. Maybe it's because those that also do vertical strip comics are happy to do less work, and they're the groups putting out most content and have their own sites.

I think content, community and UX are the three strengths MD used to have. They took a fat L on content and they've done little to improve the other two, with degradations such as the empty VIP comments sections pushing whoever's left further away. Comix seems to be the new big main hub with multiple groups and active community. And you can choose to use apps such as Mihon or Tachimanga instead of depending on any one site and its reader. That said, I agree that MD does still have the best single-page (manga) reader as far as I'm aware. It's particularly noticeable when you're on a smaller monitor where reading a page in full height is too constraining.

I really need to start my external manga tracker list again. I'm tired of MD nuking shit without any announcement or even a place holder entry for progress tracking.

They met her at the end of chapter 15 (when the guys went to town).
Then at the later half of chapter 16 (after the tea party in a pub) the scene shift to when the guys got invited to Leticia’s family’s home.

I highly recommend a Google Sheet where you keep track of everything. Combined with something like Mihon or Tachimanga, your reading progress will be independent from any one site you read on.

I hate it because MD@Home was, in my mind, a way to circumvent these legal threats that fucked MD in the ass, since hosting would be decentralized. But alas.

MALSync is at least a great way to sync all your reading and watching to MAL and Kitsu and whatnot, but that only goes so far in the reading experience

If they just became a hub for linking to official simulpubs from various sites that would be nice, but they're never consistent with that.

@Yumegioo are there any plans to go back and at least fill out the chapters that were never translated? I would prefer it if you did all the chapters so we have them to reference but as they can be found on aggregator sites they aren't really needed but the chapters that were never done would be helpful.

Well we’re all aware that MD has gone down the shitter in a huge way ever since the first big DMCA strike, but it’s not so easy to just ”go somewhere else”. Yes there are aggregators with a much larger selection that still don’t give a shit about piracy or monetization of someone else’s creative property, more or less like MD used to be (unofficially), but the problem is that either their infrastructure sucks, the reader sucks (partially fixable with userscripts), the comments suck or the tracker sucks. MD imo is the only one that is good on all of these aspects, but now nobody wants to upload here anymore

It’s doubly awful since every single group has splintered off to make their own websites that you need to make an account on to track and get updates, so you now have 50 different accounts and no way to keep track your reading and updates it in a good way. Yes there are some attempts at solutions, but they’re all bad in some way in my experience
