Actually ate casu martzu during trip to France, it's spelled martzu in France but "marzu" in Corsica variant, the maggots must be alive and they run away.
It can be sold only locally because it's banned from usual sale, although the maggots can get into digestion tract, there weren't any cases of food poisoning after consumption...
