made 2 mistakes:

1. Tale of the Golden Lotus wasn't a parody but a spin-off revolving around the past of one particular major character from Water Margin.
2. there was no NTR since the titular female lead hates the fuck outta her hunchback husband. furthermore, all the other misadventures of the scummale involves either abusing his wealth and influence or is forced or dru-nked/gged raping and/or murderous schemes so aside from his already married wives, the other unlucky ladies gets a bad end.
also, there's no way this would this could be one of the earliest examples of NTR when even the topic of homosexuality was already circulating from the Han dynasty. the story of Yang Guifei from the Tang is an NTR tho.

Truth be told we really didn’t have any of this info about the Golden Lotus before hand, but I’m glad you mentioned what really happened. Sorry for the explanation from this chapter being insensitive. None of us knew the details before; I’ll be sure to do make sure there’s a better understanding of stories like this next time when there’s a reference like this so it doesn’t happen again, sorry.
