Satania again unconsciously behaves like a virtuoso master of subtle trolling and bullying. This is the first time I've seen someone try to use as a punchline the idea that someone would rather be a lesbian than be Tapris' unironic rival, lmao. However, she was too busy crying because kouhai said hurtful things to her, yeah...

Also, I only now fully realized how different the character designs in the spin-off are from the main manga when it took me a while to be convinced that this was really Satania and not some new character or her sister. Anyway, thanks for the chapter.

And it is a mutual KO!

I wonder what her reaction would be if she knew how much Tapris looked up to the 1# slob of the school Gabu-chan though.
Or that she was one step away from buying a collection of her illegal secret photos from the same Satania, lol?

I assumed from the devil horn-like ponytail clips that Kana would meet Satania sooner or later.

Wait a minute, I just noticed something on the page listing the main characters: the names of the two human girls, "Chiaki Shinohara" and "Kana Sakuraba"... all we'll need is a "Haruka" and we'll have the names of all three sisters from the main Minami family in Minami-ke (created by Koharu Sakuraba, so I wonder if "Kana Sakuraba" is a homage?).

There is one notable connection between Minami-ke and Gabriel Dropout, the first (and best) season of the Minami-ke anime was directed by Masahiko Ohta, who also directed the Gabriel Dropout anime.

This is expected because he also directed Shikanokotan and is generally one of the best directors of CGDCT gag comedies. As for Minami ke, I don't know, the public consensus has mostly been that this manga has a lot of Yuru Yuri homages due to the illustrator Namori's obsession. But even if this is just a fan theory, then why not? Minami-ke is one of the oldest and most respected CGDCTs in history, even if it is a co-ed story without the big moe as opposed to the all-female GD.
