Authors often make characters keep secrets for no good reason.

I'd assume that Kurona can handle the heat since she's a devil but, then again, we've seen Hell in the main Gabriel Dropout manga/anime and it looks like generic Northern Europe so perhaps Hell is cooler than Japan in winter and, as such, the devil girls might not have outstanding heat tolerance.
