So I guess this guy's been playing a lot of Monster Hunter as well? Again, not remotely what I expected when I thought I'd give this one a go, but it's... not too bad, IMO? It sort of makes me think of Kyokuto no Chimeratica, which I very much enjoyed (over too fast, though), but with a bit more depth. Anyway, there you go.

I'm not sure how they expected to deal lethal eye damage tbh

Seeing as the brain is behind the eye socket, stabbing through the eye seems a sound tactical approach on an otherwise armored giant ass carp cypriniform. Still, a lot of assumptions about reach and angle of attack.
Lil' bro is definitely not the brightest.

Writing doesn't appear to be a strong point for Yamamoto Shin but I really enjoy his art. Maybe he needs a better editor?

Aww, he's not that bad... seriously, I do like his storytelling up to a point, though I agree he seems to meander and run on Rule of Cool an awful lot to the point you wonder why somebody doesn't rein him in a tad. Adu ran for six volumes; Tasogare feels like he's trying to set up something that would need way more than that, and I'm not at all sure he's established enough depth to justify such a thing. We'll see, I suppose. I'm still enjoying it, so I'll keep going for the moment, but there are definitely other titles where I look forward to new chapters a good deal more. 🤷‍♂️

In case anyone checks this thread and wonders, I still plan on continuing with this; it's just 1) I was slow getting the next raw, and 2) I had RL things distracting me, and this series is a bit lower on my list of priorities of things to catch up with.
