Simply put, Yoshizawa and Yuuto were childhood friends. Yoshizawa has a crush on him, but due anxiety from being in new school and him prioritising out of school activities instead helping her out from isolation, had panic attack, blanking out afterwards.

That show Yuuko did, finally made Yuuto go into "must protect" mode and made them close together again. With a right way to use Yuuko power, she's more of a cupid than malevolent ghost

Although poltergeist story wasn't resolved, moreover it was proven. Things won't get easy...
