The "obvious truth"???? How the fuck would he know whats actually going on? Mia actually did start negotiations because of the food preservation this time so there isnt even a misunderstanding here

Funny enough, for once so far, this was actually a smart move rather than a misunderstanding.
Mia staring at Rania was a "selfish" move that caused a minor misunderstanding, but starting the negotiations was a properly thought-out move.

Also, throughout the whole story, her selfishness is far from "obvious" from the perspective of an in-universe character.
Based on her actions and results, without the knowledge that the reader has of her time travel and internal monologue, she does appear to take good actions that result in even better outcomes.

This one -

No, it's not Mia just misunderstanding. THIS is her actually taking a fact that she learned (this food still tastes great even though it's 3 years old) and then using that fact in collaboration with other knowledge she has (the Empire doesn't have good food storage).

THEN she engages in diplomacy on the spot, ignoring (intentionally or not) any potential slight to herself to secure an agreement (while also accidentally indebting the 2nd rate princess through forgiveness and good intentions for the Empire)

THEN she brings the proposal to her chief administrative officer who can leverage this plan into action.

THIS IS NOT simply her misunderstanding and making things better. This is at least 80% her doing something useful all on her own.

She's really doing this as a proper royal.
Yeah I was thinking she and Ludwig are basically on the same page this chapter? Sure Ludwig thinks she wrote the entire page when really he wrote like 80% of it, but she did write the first 20%.

Man everytime I see a dungein scene it really makes me tear up a bit. They are really good at making heartfelt moments. And then it whiplashes me into laughter with its comedic cause and effects. It's really impressive
