Really you should 'move on' from your previous life. Would be better to just write a story where the protagonist doesn't itentify as their previous self anymore, or they don't remember anything specific about their previous life/identity.

So.. you want reincarnation isekai to be exactly like most reincarnation isekai? Because most in reincarnation isekai I've read, who the MC used to be gets forgotten in the first few chapters, and the 40+ year old man getting reincarnated as a 10 year old boy...just acts like a 10 year old boy. --unless they discover rice or need to invent invent mayonaise or a hand pump or something.


As for just "moving on", you can't just ignore the years of your life you've already lived. All those years and experiences shape who you are and that won't change just because you have a new body. The new adds to the old, it doesn't just delete it, it's not software. To me it sounds like you should stick to non-isekai fantasy. What's the point of making it an isekai if they just completely forget about their old life?
