Wow, that's kinda moronic. Still, must be more groups out there doing the same, cause almost every time chapter is censored, i see people suspecting TL group of doing that (even though, commonly, it's just magazine-vs-tankoubon difference).

I'd still believe it's mostly misattributed out of simple ignorance. I think it's just that a lot of readers who aren't actually buying raw JP manga (or at least not the ones with sexual content) don't really know that mag-vs-tank difference, or how much it can vary between raw sources.

You get used to fog/black square/barbie boob as standard censorship for nudity, then outta nowhere you get raws with fully clothed women having their (fully clothed and non-erotic) crotches covered with black boxes, and it's so out of left field you can't believe it's an official publication releasing such garbage.

I think they're going for the thought of "if it represents or insinuates sexual pleasure, it must be censored."
Kinda like how you can't post sexual content on YouTube but YouTube wont take your video down if you post yourself completely naked and uncensored on a video about shaving. If it's "educational content" it'll stay up, if it's a woman feeling sexual gratification while masturbating they'll take the video out.
