That MC would prefer a pure romantic relationship than a wild harem orgy, or at least that was the author idea in pre-planning.
The MC is still fairly pure now, so it makes sense.

I checked on the manga this author self axed and yep, is pretty weird that he had started it in the first place, maybe really needed a job and that was the only concept that was greenlighted from the publisher, but it was very different from his previous works, I can understand that it weighted him down, at the same time, in today manga scene a author that refuses to continue a serie that is working is extremely risky for the career.

But the story seemed to be about NTR and cheating, and this mangaka clearly likes pure relationship, should have passed the project to Takeda Hiromitsu.
