As for Watage, as everyone else here has said, Yamato wouldn't have gone out of his way to do the whole fake stone baby story if he actually impregnated Tokio, so its likely he actually had Watage from someone else (with people suspecting its Mikura based on the body shape) and so that way no one asks any questions he came up with the stone baby thing in order for Watage to be seen as a true successor.

It’s also possible the villagers wouldn’t (didn’t? if they ever attempted to explain in the first place) even believe that Tokio is Yamato’s mother, due to Tokio now being physically much closer in age to Yamato/Maru due to her multi-year hibernation (Tokio should be about physically only in her early 20s in 2039).
