That was a rather jarring transition at the end.

Edit: considering the manga ends in 6 chapters and the novel is on hiatus, this is going to be a crap ending for sure. Now I'm not that surprised by that transition.

Actually glad to see that "Completed" mark on this manga, now I can drop it here without bothering anymore. The story's been all over the place for a while to the point I barely cared and now it can just end here rather than whatever hackneyed open ended finale they try to pull.

Oh so this one ended uh and seems since a while ago too, well given the WN neither the LN have gotten any update in a long time and didn't even get an ending, i can say that was expected, tho i wonder if the manga got a proper ending if anything given the source is unlikely to get one at this point

I mean look in the real world anyone who does horrible things blames others for doing those things before the people they are blaming are able to call them out. Then people who don't really pay attention just see them as equally bad.
“The victor writes the history books” does still apply to the modern world after all…and if a counterpoint appears, “that’s slander” aaand it’s now censored/ignored by the party/dictator/fanatics. After all, nothing happened at Tiananmen.

I believe that way of thinking is what allows that to continue. Some people will shrug off any crimes by their political party just so they can drag us all back to the time they were most comfortable. Because they believe that as long as they win then it is fine to cover it all up afterwards.

That method of approach has worked on the pre-telephone era, and with a little bit of official narrative (and economy-based “diplomacy”), people will remember a dictator as an object of worship, and not “that guy with the highest body count in the world”, even if it becomes blatantly hypocritical.

At this point, it seems that being proficient at hypocrisy seems to be a job requirement to be a politician (aside from being corrupt or nepotic for asian politicians)

We currently have more than 3 events going on like that, but most know only the main 2
