When you legitimately don't want to choose between translators so you read a manga twice.
I wasn't going to say anything....and it's also not my intention to browbeat other translations just for the sake of it.
But since this is brought up, I do want to say I feel I can choose, and it's not even a difficult choice for me.
This one has a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes, and much more basic typesetting. I can't comment on the translation since I didn't read the raw, but the idiosyncratic conversation flow makes me think the translation itself is also of lower quality in general. And finally, Akatsuki has been translating this from the start so they have the legacy card. Not that they need it, I think at least to native English speakers their version is like night and day to this one.
The only area which I feel is subjective is Akatsuki has redrawn all the onomatopoeia. Though that also highlights how their version has superior redraw for all floating text too.
Again, I don't mean this as anything but a frank assessment. Whether multiple scan groups decide to release doesn't hurt me or anything. It's their time and effort to spend.
