So anyway MD is really bad at tagging properly these days, they tag something as Erotica despite it never shows anything or having sexual theme and then they tagged something as Pornographic when all it shows are tits. If they don't show the genitals, it shouldn't be tagged as porn

With the regular full on sex scenes I don't think you'll escape the mature tag. It isn't as if it is a smear on the series either. Plenty of stuff is rated mature and not taken any less seriously for it.

"Erotica" is shows nipples but mostly cuts away from sex scenes. In certain respects it is the currently more pejoratively named.

As an aside, all the classic stuff from Nagai Go for example is labeled Erotica, Suggestive etc for various bits of nudity it undeniably contains. Same with a bunch of other old school more experimental mangas.

I looked up a random manga also from the same publisher and the latest chapter of the first one I checked has whiteout dick ( https://mangadex.org/chapter/476f5366-1aa3-42f1-bd33-5039ce0e3511/29 ) and only an "erotica" rating instead of "mature" (which I understand used to be porn but was renamed) so I'm not sure that's the standard being used.

For me this is frustrating because I do not want my searches clogged with porn so I have the tag hidden but this is a "real" manga, not actual porn. I am sure I am not alone in this position and I hope we can either get a tag that is properly ONLY used for porn or have the tag fixed for this manga.

1. This series has been tagged as pornographic for a while. In fact, it had the pornographic tag when it was still called that, to suddenly have an issue with the tag is asinine.
2. The only thing that changed regarding tags was the naming of pornographic tag to "mature." The other tags (Erotica, Suggestive) still exist. Nothing has changed regarding what we apply the tag to from a moderation standpoint.
3. If you feel a tag is in error, guess what? We have a report system. Use it. We do not know something is an issue if you do not tell us. If you think this title is not worthy of the mature tag and should be downgraded to erotica, tell us and we will happily review whatever case you make.
4. Speaking of which, I have downgraded the title to erotica.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go back to reading about watersports some guy carrying things

Thanks for confirming. Just a feedback, would it be better if you clarify the tags in the community guidelines? As you can see in this thread, a lot of the readers were confused about the difference of the tags. Some thought there is still Pornographic tag and thought Mature was a separate tag.
