Stern General commander and princess. Yeah for someone who wants a "slow" life (hah) that sure is quite alarming

Princess: I'm just going to ignore the big hooha that just happened about her being blessed by god and stated not to be messed with, and allowed our war to be stopped.

What kind of downer kingdom is that? Aside from the blacksmith and the sugar alchemist (the apprentice who couldn't connect to the archive), nobody in that country has any dreams or visions. Every line we ever heard from them is trying to push Meria down and repress her. Blaze should just change his name to Mr Not Gonna Happen. The bloody country should change its name to "Kingdom of No Can Do".

At least that's an explaination for why the kingdom didn't advance technologically in a whole millennium.
However I don't like stories where the MC is getting pushed around by NPCs even though he is extremely valuble and powerful. Sadly the majority of slice of life isekai manga are focusing on that direction. I think the Japanese just can't imagine to ignore authority heads like royality or government even though they tell a story in another world.

I can count the slice of life isekai manga where the MC has a "doesn't give a fuck" attitude on a single hand.

Well it wouldn’t be slice of life would it? Kinda is a mismatch when you want political power struggle + slice of life.

Just because a protagonist doesnt give a fuck about authority, doesn't mean the story can't be slice of life.

On contrary, after a certain powerlevel he/she can just do as he pleases and ignore politics altogether. What are they gonna a do? Start a fight with the most powerful/influential/important person in the country? Yeah right...

Just look at 80000 gold retirement. Slice of life tag is missing on mangadex but no one can tell me that this isnt one. MC is so op, she is practically untouchable and doesn't give a single fuck about norms, regulations and ethics in neither the isekai world nor japan.

in the beginning after mitsuha get isekaid her abilities are balanced and she still tries to fit in and keep a low profile, but after she starts to be able to control them better and totally getting op, she doesn't give a fuck anymore
