It's kind of depressing to think her grandfather actually thought of Chakra/Shakura as a great rival, when all they could think of is that they couldn't help their own Martial Arts be perpetuated. They were acknowledged by the person that destroyed their life...but either were unable to accept it, or never heard of it until they died...
