I didn't consider finding a more appropriate definition for "toothbrush" when I worked on it. Now that I look at it, I realize it doesn't make much sense. Next time, I'll take more time to proofread. I spend too much time on redrawing and wanted to finish this chapter quickly, so I may have overlooked that.

So she invented the threshing machine, it became "famous" and despite it being public knowledge that she's the inventor (at least to the extent where Claude was able to track her down without any uncertainty that she was in fact the inventor despite being just a child) she is still treated like dirt instead of receiving some gratitude and/or admiration of those around her.. Makes me really wanna see what happened in that first bit they glossed over here

It isnt that public knowledge, only ones who know is her village and

The magicians who came to her village, when they came, her parents hoped she was a mage but the magicians said she isnt but they saw the thershing machine and mass produced it with magic.

Overall, her village treated her well. But her parents lost interest in her when they heard she isnt a magician. They were pretty much scum, not the worst kind since it wasnt like they harmed her or took bad care of her, but they were pretty selfish. Though they may have thought selling her would be good for both of them. They get money and she gets to live with a quasi noble. Their society has a culture of giving up children who are magicians to nobility

But I assure you she will get no shortage of gratitude in the future, so much so it brings her dread

She did a lot more for the village than the treshing machine, just not all of it bore fruit that fast due to trial and error. The village chief son leaves the village later and starts a cult calling the MC a messenger from god. MC once she learns about it tries to get him to stop and he agrees, only to later learn he keeps twisting her words in a weird way and grows the cult even more lol

She also taught them how to make sandels and farming techniques like fertilizer and rotations. But farming techniques were just started and they spent years on trial and error on small land and now since results came in were about to scale it.

It might also include some basic herbology but it isnt clear if that was done during the village or later when she meats Mama kou

There is a food shortage due to lack of mages, so what they did was throw out all the rejects into their own expiremental villages and try to have them figure out how to fend for themselves or die trying. So you can imagine her parents arent the brightest bulbs. There is also a culture of selling your child to nobility if they are a mage so they probably didnt even think much of it
