Holy shit this is so dumb. Wester wants to take nobles from the central kingdom hostage and they don't think there will be any retaliation? Being greedy is one thing but have a little self awareness ffs. You're gonna piss off the people who are keeping you alive with the barrier? I'll keep reading for now but this writing stinks.
