I was about to point out that he could just watch the anime if he wanted to hear how her role turned out, since he saw the poster for it from 20 years prior. Then I realized, we have access to anime that old because of fan translations and piracy, but he'd need to track down a box set (if one even exists), and he'd also need to have the means to actually watch the box set (which, IIRC, he does not and would need to borrow)
