Despite them feeling that they can ignore the "faulty" alarm, I feel that they don't have enough guards patroling.

There are several things I'm dubious about in this series, but this whole "Meanwhile, the Duchess is living as the protagonist of the other standard 'foisted upon the Duke of the North' plot" shtick... this part I think I can actually get behind.
