she has power and just wanted to end her suffering as a primary goal. Lunafelt pushed that off-course, but the emperor reignited that desire due to him executing Lunafelt. She now has people she cares for, and is also more aware of the repercussions of the magic.

probably time skipped to the adult age or abit before, possibly 4 years or so since adult age seem to be 16 across most fantasy stories
